Theme – Student Achievement: What Does it Look Like?
Eligibility:The contest is open to GSBA member district high schools.
Criteria:Videos will be judged on how well they address the topic, as well as the quality of the production and the creativity of the video. The video should be 30 seconds – 1 minute long. No professional assistance can be provided to produce the video. The format of the video is up to the students (commercial, news broadcast, music video, etc.)
Deadline: The deadline is October 17, 2017. Online entry form, video upload and paper work must be received by 11:59 PM on October 17, 2017
Only one video per school campus may be entered.
A sponsoring faculty member must be designated.
The entry forms and all legal documentation must be signed, dated and sent by the deadline.
Awards and Judging
The top three videos and three honorable mention videos, as determined by the judges, will be shown during general sessions of the 2017 GSBA /GSSA Annual Conference.
Students involved with the video and the sponsoring faculty member of the top three videos, along with their respective principal, will be invited to the association’s Awards luncheon. (GSBA will not pay for travel expenses to the Award’s luncheon at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta but lunch and reserved seating during the ceremony will be provided)
First place ($1000), Second place($500), and Third place ($250) winners will be announced during the ceremony and the prize money will go towards the school’s fine arts or video production program.
